Jay Nixon and Missouri House Speaker Ron Richard are talking about forthcoming legislation for autism insurance, which would require coverage of health care and therapeutic interventions for children with autism, just as already is afforded to children with every other major neurological disorder.
Too risky to gamble with lives of autistic children
Dennis Matheis of Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), in his opinion piece, “Autism Mandate Creates More Issues Than It Solves,” raised valid concerns, but continued to dance around the “elephants in the room.”
